Maggie's story

Maggie Doughty came to the United States 50 years ago and has taught skiing at Cannon Mountain for over three decades. She taught my little brother how to ski about 30 years ago, and this winter two of my children have been in her class during Friday ski outings with school. FRANCONIA—Maggie Doughty is something of a celebrity at Cannon Mountain. She normally has a neat line of children trailing behind her on the slopes, gliding like a ribbon through a gentle breeze. And wherever she skis, she is greeted by waves and shouts of, "Hi, Maggie!" FULL STORY
